With the launch of our platform API last week, we want to continue inspiring you with integration ideas. You might have spotted BotBot in our announcement last week, but I have put together a little more information on how it works and how it can help automate workflows.
We built BotBot as an example of how the Marvel API can be used and was the very first app built on the API! It's made with Vapor, a Swift framework to develop server-side Swift apps. To make sure you can dig into the details and see how both the Marvel API and BotBot work, we have open sourced the code on GitHub.
This integration combines the power of Marvel with everyone's favourite messaging service, Slack, allowing you to automate tasks in Marvel by using commands whilst chatting.
Slash Commands include:
- Quickly pull up a list of Marvel projects without leaving Slack by typing /projects
- Create a project in seconds by typing /create-project
- Add people to projects by typing /add-people
If you have a suggestion for more commands or functionality, please open an issue or submit a pull request.
This integration is perfect for fast paced teams who manage their design communication within Slack. Users can respond quickly to actions, ideas and suggestions within the messaging app and send direct commands to Marvel. Saving the hassle of jumping screens. Who doesn't like a shortcut?
Imagine automating wireframes or flows from your design system, or adding entire channels to a project for feedback and annotations. To find out more and grab the code, go to our landing page or check out the GitHub repo.
In case you missed it, all the details of the API launch are here. It's an exciting addition to Marvel which opens up the whole platform's functionality and gives you the freedom to build the features you want, right away.
